For you and your family · Standards of care

Your clinicians use current science. Your life still shapes the plan.

Good care follows up-to-date research and national guidelines — and it still has to fit your home, your language, and what you can afford. Guidelines help. They do not replace the person in front of us.

  1. 1 of 4 · Where do your doctors get their information?

Current clinical research, used at the visit.

Our clinicians keep a current medical library so your care matches what is known now — not a binder from ten years ago. That reading happens at the clinic, in your chart, with your clinician.

You can always ask: “Is this still the recommended treatment for someone like me?” That is a fair question.

  2. 2 of 4 · What are clinical guidelines?

    Step-by-step playbooks for common conditions.

For many long-term conditions we use carefully written guidelines — blood pressure, diabetes, breathing, pregnancy, and others. They help the whole team offer the same high standard.

If you have a chronic condition, you also get a year-long plan in words you can use. The guideline is for the team. The one-page sheet is for your fridge.

  3. 3 of 4 · Will insurance cover this?

We work within Medicare, Medicaid, and other coverage — and sliding fee.

We follow Medicare and Florida Medicaid rules so recommended care is not treated as a guess. We still cannot promise every test or specialist visit is free.

If a bill surprises you, ask about sliding fee and our pharmacy. Do not skip a medicine in silence. Call (352) 565-7342.

  4. 4 of 4 · What will you never put on a public page?

Your doses, your diagnosis list, your counseling notes.

Those live in your medical chart. Education sheets stay general: why it matters, what to try, when to call.

If a sheet and what your clinician said do not match, follow your clinician and call us to sort it out.
